Emergency Kits For Preschool Centers

by Star Breaker Fact Reporter

If you have a little one getting ready to head off to preschool you’ll more than likely be asked by the folks running your child’s preschool to bring in a kids emergency school kit.

These kits are kept on site and used during emergencies of all kinds and should be updated about every six months so that items inside, particularly food items, are fresh, and clothes and shoes that may have become too small for your child can be updated with those that fit their current size or a little bigger.

Your kit should contain, at minimum the following items:

  • Your child’s identity information (name; address; phone numbers; parents names and cell phone and work numbers)
  • One change of clothes
  • One pair of extra shoes
  • Diapers (if necessary)
  • Wipes
  • A blanket
  • A child’s toy
  • A family photo
  • At least 12 oz. of water
  • Snacks, such as fruit roll ups and other non perishable, light weight energy snack

There are companies that make prepackaged kid’s emergency kits that include the basics.  Click here to see one offered on E-bay.  You can customize the kit with your child’s personal items, such as clothing and photos and other items mentioned above in the list.

You may not have a child, but these kits make great presents: think of giving emergency preparedness gifts next time you’ve got a birthday present to purchase, or any other special occasion.   Consider purchasing kits that contain several different forms of survival food, Berkey water filters, and medical supplies.

Deadly Car Accidents

In the US, it is estimated that 6.5 million accidents happen each year and 46% of those result in personal injury. That means that there is one accident about every 5 seconds. This means that a personal injury attorney Denver CO would be in high demand to represent people who were injured in auto accidents. Since Colorado abolished the PIP and established a new auto injury law in July of 2008, hiring an experienced law firm is extremely important. The quicker and injured person receives legal assistance, the quicker it they can receive proper compensation for what they have endured.

Searching for a Daycare Center

Most parents rely on word-of-mouth to find a good daycare center. However, what one parent considers being a good daycare may not be what you want. That usually leaves the Yellow Pages, which only tell you what they want you to know and where it is at. On the other hand, because of the World Wide Web you can now search online! There is now a service that is relentlessly focused on helping parents find the best childcare available. They actually understand that it is one of a family’s most important decisions. Their staff, with over 25 years of combined experience, will help you make a better decision.
