Fiction

You will find chapter summaries from the draft of my novel, Starbreaker, and the occasional short story. You'll find that most of the short stories I write also relate to Starbreaker, and deal with characters from the novel at points in their lives not directly relevant to the novel's plot.

All of the content here is subject to change at any time. I reserve all rights, but you're welcome to read what I post here as my guest.

Please keep in mind that this is fiction, and that all of characters and situations depicted are either fictitious, or used in a fictitious context. Don't try to play out what you read here in real life; the society I write about is quite different from the one in which you and I have to live.

Starbreaker

Starbreaker is the title of the novel I've been working on for the last ten years or so. The plot and cast have changed over the years, mainly because I myself have changed. However, now that I finally know what sort of story I want to tell, the novel is taking shape.

I might put up a sample chapter or two someday, but to protect any slim chance of making money off of Starbreaker that I still possess, I'll only be putting up chapter summaries for the entire novel. If you want more, you'll have to pay. Don't worry; you'll get over it.

  • Good Enough

    I wrote this for my wife this past winter. She was curious as to how Morgan Stormrider (the protagonist of Starbreaker) ended up becoming an Adversary to begin with. I had originally imagined Morgan doing so out of youthful idealism, but I couldn't convince myself. He's not that kind of guy. I do think, though, that I gave him a better reason.
