New York Gets Two New Ballparks
This is a history maker! No city has ever opened 2 ball stadiums on the same day. Fans and players of both the Yankees and the Mets got to see their new home with an exhibition game. The Mets faced off with the Boston Red Sox at their new Citi Field and the Yankees faced off with the Chicago Cubs in the new Yankee Stadium.
Of course, the one thing all ballplayers hate is rain! It was threatening to rain in both Queens and the Bronx. However, the first pitches and all the ceremonial events went off without a hitch and no rain.
This was only the beginning of the openings for both fields. On April 13, the Mets will play the Padres in a real game at their new Citi Field. The Yankees will meet the Cleveland Indians on April 16 for their first game. That means you had better start getting those tickets ready.
Start looking for that World Series game. Last year Philadelphia and Tampa Bay were the teams, who will it be this year. Plan to get your World Series tickets early. You will need to get them early just as you got your Superbowl tickets.
Moreover, do not forget about those Vancouver Olympic tickets for the winter Olympics this year. They are going to be close and everybody in the US can go. Isn’t it great that the Olympics are within driving range so that we can cheer on our Olympians just like our favorite baseball players.
