Trapping Pests Without Chemicals

by Star Breaker Fact Reporter

If you have found rats, mice, insects, or other rodents in your home or business and you do not want to use traditional pest traps, insecticides, or poisons to get rid of them, there is a solution.

While there are many different forms of pest control products on the market that are designed to quickly kill rodents, such as snap traps and insecticides, you may be of the mind to use an alternative—something less toxic to your home or workplace, and perhaps a trap that doesn’t mutilate the rodent or insect once it’s caught.

Consider using one of the wide varieties of sticky glue traps available. These traps, such as the Catchmaster glue board, are among the strongest, pesticide-free products available. These glue boards and sticky traps can be set inconspicuously in a corner or under household appliances, even under beds and dressers and in kitchen pantries, where insects, rodents, and other critters are literally “stuck” in place once they make contact.

In some cases, these sticky traps attract the critters through use of pheromones.  In others, there is a food teaser on the board that draws them in.  These glue traps and boards are usually very effective alternatives to traditional spray or poison bait roach killers, as well, and may also be used to rid your home or business of spiders, scorpions, ants and  many other crawling insects.

In addition to being insecticide free, sticky traps also are generally pretty inexpensive: You can often find them priced individually for under $1, or in packages of a dozen for under $10.
